Not very good at blogging

Ok. I was really excited about keeping up with this blog. I haven't been so good at it lately. Life over the past few months has been a little crazy.
My mom suffered a mild heart attack (the dr.'s say probably 2) and didn't know it. While visiting Elena in New Mexico, she was taken to emergency room to find out later that day that she needed a double bypass. We all flew to New Mexico to be with her. Yes, all 6 children were crashed at Elena's bedroom house. It was one big slumber party! She was a great patient, had a few complications along the way but came out just fine! Just recently she returned home to Dallas, after being gone for 2 months. We are very happy to have her home and she looks great!

Carson started first grade and is loving it. He also turned 6 and Davis turned 5 a few weeks ago.
I went back to working full time since my job share partner, Aimee, went on maternity leave with her beautiful baby girl. She just made it back and now I'm loving my 3 day work week.
Jimmy is enjoying his job with Ventura Foods and is still doing real estate "on the side".
Looking forward to a fun holiday!

A Sunday Afternoon in July

We spent a Sunday afternoon at the Nasher Sculpture Center in downtown Dallas. Carson was especially excited about everything he saw. He posed for lots of pictures and had a great smile in all of them! Here is a pic from the garden of the museum. The boys also had a great time at the Dallas Museum of Art's fountain.

Here's a pic of a family that Carson wanted to join. pretty funny! FYI...if case you can't tell, they're statues.

Lastly, here was my favorite thing at Nasher!

Day One

I now feel very officially, somewhat blog literate. I figured I would give this a shot to let friends and family know what's going on with Carson, Davis, Jimmy and I. We are enjoying the summer so far. This year we have had our first taste of "summers" since Carson finished up his first year of kindergarten. There is SO much to do to keep kiddos busy this summer! Davis is continuing his current preschool part-time and hasn't really noticed the transition to summer except for an occassional "it sure is hot".

I spent a 4 days at our timeshare cabin at Lake Palestine with the boys. Jimmy had to work, so I "roughed it" with C &D. We had a really great time. Here are a few pics of their favorite things to do, swimming and miniature golf. Not really roughing it, but we did stay in a log cabin. That's my kind of camping! :)

We also visited a blueberry farm, my personal favorite thing! Carson and I had a great time picking blueberries and Davis' really enjoyed eating them.

That's it for now. I will try to continue this thing they call blogging. If anyone can advise me on how this whole thing works, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks and make it a great day!
